23809a726c netdevsim: Forbid devlink reload when adding or deleting ports
In order to remove complexity in devlink core related to
devlink_reload_enable/disable, let's rewrite new_port/del_port
logic to rely on internal to netdevsim lcok.

We should protect only reload_down flow because it destroys nsim_dev,
which is needed for nsim_dev_port_add/nsim_dev_port_del to hold
port_list_lock.

2671345504 devlink: Allocate devlink directly in requested net namespace
There is no need in extra call indirection and check from impossible
flow where someone tries to set namespace without prior call
to devlink_alloc().

Instead of this extra logic and additional EXPORT_SYMBOL, use specialized
devlink allocation function that receives net namespace as an argument.

Such specialized API allows clear view when devlink initialized in wrong
net namespace and/or kernel users don't try to change devlink namespace
under the hood.

fc7a6209d5 bus: Make remove callback return void
The driver core ignores the return value of this callback because there
is only little it can do when a device disappears.

This is the final bit of a long lasting cleanup quest where several
buses were converted to also return void from their remove callback.
Additionally some resource leaks were fixed that were caused by drivers
returning an error code in the expectation that the driver won't go
away.

With struct bus_type::remove returning void it's prevented that newly
implemented buses return an ignored error code and so don't anticipate
wrong expectations for driver authors.

d4861fc6be netdevsim: Add multi-queue support
Currently netdevsim only supports a single queue per port, which is
insufficient for testing multi-queue TC schedulers e.g. sch_mq.  Extend
the current sysfs interface so that users can create ports with multiple
queues:

$ echo "[ID] [PORT_COUNT] [NUM_QUEUES]" > /sys/bus/netdevsim/new_device

As an example, echoing "2 4 8" creates 4 ports, with 8 queues per port.
Note, this is compatible with the current interface, with default number
of queues set to 1.  For example, echoing "2 4" creates 4 ports with 1
queue per port; echoing "2" simply creates 1 port with 1 queue.

09adf7566d net: netdevsim: use xso.real_dev instead of xso.dev in callback functions of struct xfrmdev_ops
There are two pointers in struct xfrm_state_offload, *dev, *real_dev.
These are used in callback functions of struct xfrmdev_ops.
The *dev points whether bonding interface or real interface.
If bonding ipsec offload is used, it points bonding interface If not,
it points real interface.
And real_dev always points real interface.
So, netdevsim should always use real_dev instead of dev.
Of course, real_dev always not be null.

a7b3527a43 drivers: net: netdevsim: add devlink trap_drop_counter_get implementation
Whenever query statistics is issued for trap with DROP action,
devlink subsystem would also fill-in statistics 'dropped' field.
In case if device driver did't register callback for hard drop
statistics querying, 'dropped' field will be omitted and not filled.
Add trap_drop_counter_get callback implementation to the netdevsim.
Add new test cases for netdevsim, to test both the callback
functionality, as well as drop statistics alteration check.

4e744cb812 netdevsim: delete unnecessary debugfs checking
In normal situations where the driver doesn't dereference
"nsim_node->ddir" or "nsim_node->rate_parent" itself then we are not
supposed to check the return from debugfs functions.  In the case of
debugfs_create_dir() the check was wrong as well because it doesn't
return NULL, it returns error pointers.

160dc373ee netdevsim: Implement legacy/switchdev mode for VFs
Implement callbacks to set/get eswitch mode value. Add helpers to check
current mode.

Instantiate VFs' net devices and devlink ports on switchdev enabling and
remove them on legacy enabling. Changing number of VFs while in
switchdev mode triggers VFs creation/deletion.

Also disable NDO API callback to set VF rate, since it's legacy API.
Switchdev API to set VF rate will be implemented in one of the next
patches.

Allow creation of netdevsim ports for VFs along with allocations of
corresponding net devices and devlink ports.
Add enums and helpers to distinguish PFs' ports from VFs' ports.

Ports creation/deletion debugfs API intended to be used with physical

814b9ce65e netdevsim: Implement port types and indexing
Define type of ports, which netdevsim driver currently operates with as
PF. Define new port type - VF, which will be implemented in following
patches. Add helper functions to distinguish them. Add helper function
to get VF index from port index.

Add port indexing logic where PFs' indexes starts from 0, VFs' - from
NSIM_DEV_VF_PORT_INDEX_BASE.
All ports uses same index pool, which means that PF port may be created
with index from VFs' indexes range.
Maximum number of VFs, which the driver can allocate, is limited by
UINT_MAX - BASE.

d395381909 netdevsim: Add max_vfs to bus_dev
Currently there is no limit to the number of VFs netdevsim can enable.
In a real systems this value exist and used by the driver.
Fore example, some features might need to consider this value when
allocating memory.

Expose max_vfs variable to debugfs as configurable resource. If are VFs
configured (num_vfs != 0) then changing of max_vfs not allowed.

a9b5d871ab netdevsim: Only use sampling truncation length when valid
When the sampling truncation length is invalid (zero), pass the length
of the packet. Without the fix, no payload is reported to user space

a8700c3dd0 netdevsim: Add dummy psample implementation
Allow netdevsim to report "sampled" packets to the psample module by
periodically generating packets from a work queue. The behavior can be
enabled / disabled (default) and the various meta data attributes can be
controlled via debugfs knobs.

This implementation enables both testing of the psample module with all
the optional attributes as well as development of user space
applications on top of psample such as hsflowd and a Wireshark dissector
for psample generic netlink packets.

c6385c0b67 netdevsim: Allow reporting activity on nexthop buckets
A key component of the resilient hashing algorithm is the hash buckets'
activity. If a bucket is active, it will not be populated with a new
nexthop in order not to break existing flows. Therefore, in order to
easily and thoroughly test the algorithm, we need to be in full control
over the reported activity.

Add a debugfs interface that allows user space to have netdevsim report
a nexthop bucket within a resilient nexthop group as active. For
example:

 # echo 10 23 > /sys/kernel/debug/netdevsim/netdevsim10/fib/nexthop_bucket_activity

Will mark bucket 23 in nexthop group 10 as active.

Allow resilient nexthop groups to be programmed and account their
occupancy according to their number of buckets. The nexthop group itself
as well as its buckets are marked with hardware flags (i.e.,
'RTNH_F_TRAP').

Replacement of a single nexthop bucket can fail using the following
debugfs knob:

 # cat /sys/kernel/debug/netdevsim/netdevsim10/fib/fail_nexthop_bucket_replace

Add "fail_route_offload" flag to disallow offloading routes.
It is needed to test "offload failed" notifications.

Create the flag as part of nsim_fib_create() under fib directory and set
it to false by default.

When FIB_EVENT_ENTRY_{REPLACE, APPEND} are triggered and
"fail_route_offload" value is true, set the appropriate hardware flag to
make the kernel emit RTM_NEWROUTE notification with RTM_F_OFFLOAD_FAILED
flag.

acknowledgment, which means the route was installed in the kernel, but not
necessarily in hardware.

The asynchronous nature of route installation in hardware can lead to a
routing daemon advertising a route before it was actually installed in
hardware. This can result in packet loss or mis-routed packets until the
route is installed in hardware.

To avoid such cases, previous patch set added the ability to emit
RTM_NEWROUTE notifications whenever RTM_F_OFFLOAD/RTM_F_TRAP flags
are changed, this behavior is controlled by sysctl.

With the above mentioned behavior, it is possible to know from user-space
if the route was offloaded, but if the offload fails there is no indication
to user-space. Following a failure, a routing daemon will wait indefinitely
for a notification that will never come.

This patch adds an "offload_failed" indication to IPv6 routes, so that
users will have better visibility into the offload process.

'struct fib6_info' is extended with new field that indicates if route

fbaca8f895 net: Pass 'net' struct as first argument to fib6_info_hw_flags_set()
The next patch will emit notification when hardware flags are changed,
in case that fib_notify_on_flag_change sysctl is set to 1.

To know sysctl values, net struct is needed.
This change is consistent with the IPv4 version, which gets 'net' struct
as its first argument.

Currently, the only callers of this function are mlxsw and netdevsim.
Patch the callers to pass net.

0ae3eb7b46 netdevsim: fib: Perform the route programming in a non-atomic context
Currently, netdevsim implements dummy FIB offload and marks notified
routes with RTM_F_TRAP flag. netdevsim does not defer route notifications
to a work queue because it does not need to program any hardware.

Given that netdevsim's purpose is to both give an example implementation
and allow developers to test their code, align netdevsim to a "real"
hardware device driver like mlxsw and have it also perform the route
"programming" in a non-atomic context.

It will be used to test route flags notifications which will be added in
the next patches.

The following changes are needed when route handling is performed in WQ:
- Handle the accounting in the main context, to be able to return an
  error for adding route when all the routes are used.
  For FIB_EVENT_ENTRY_REPLACE increase the counter before scheduling
  the delayed work, and in case that this event replaces an existing route,
  decrease the counter as part of the delayed work.

- For IPv6, cannot use fen6_info->rt->fib6_siblings list because it
  might be changed during handling the delayed work.
  Save an array with the nexthops as part of fib6_event struct, and take
  a reference for each nexthop to prevent them from being freed while
  event is queued.

- Change GFP_ATOMIC allocations to GFP_KERNEL.

- Use single work item that is handling a list of ordered routes.
  Handling routes must be processed in the order they were submitted to
  avoid logical errors that could lead to unexpected failures.

9e635a21ca netdevsim: fib: Convert the current occupancy to an atomic variable
When route is added/deleted, the appropriate counter is increased/decreased
to maintain number of routes.

User can limit the number of routes and then according to the appropriate
counter, adding more routes than the limitation is forbidden.

Currently, there is one lock which protects hashtable, list and accounting.

Handling the counters will be performed from both atomic context and
non-atomic context, while the hashtable and the list will be used only from
non-atomic context and therefore will be protected by a separate lock.

Protect accounting by using an atomic variable, so lock is not needed.

e4ff5aa469 netdevsim: Add debugfs toggle to reject BPF programs in verifier
This adds a new debugfs toggle ('bpf_bind_verifier_accept') that can be
used to make netdevsim reject BPF programs from being accepted by the
verifier. If this toggle (which defaults to true) is set to false,
nsim_bpf_verify_insn() will return EOPNOTSUPP on the last
instruction (after outputting the 'Hello from netdevsim' verifier message).

This makes it possible to check the verification callback in the driver
from test_offload.py in selftests, since the verifier now clears the
verifier log on a successful load, hiding the message from the driver.

998f172962 xdp: Remove the xdp_attachment_flags_ok() callback
Since commit 7f0a838254 ("bpf, xdp: Maintain info on attached XDP BPF
programs in net_device"), the XDP program attachment info is now maintained
in the core code. This interacts badly with the xdp_attachment_flags_ok()
check that prevents unloading an XDP program with different load flags than
it was loaded with. In practice, two kinds of failures are seen:

- An XDP program loaded without specifying a mode (and which then ends up
  in driver mode) cannot be unloaded if the program mode is specified on
  unload.

- The dev_xdp_uninstall() hook always calls the driver callback with the
  mode set to the type of the program but an empty flags argument, which
  means the flags_ok() check prevents the program from being removed,
  leading to bpf prog reference leaks.

The original reason this check was added was to avoid ambiguity when
multiple programs were loaded. With the way the checks are done in the core
now, this is quite simple to enforce in the core code, so let's add a check
there and get rid of the xdp_attachment_flags_ok() callback entirely.

52cc5f3a16 devlink: move flash end and begin to core devlink
When performing a flash update via devlink, device drivers may inform
user space of status updates via
devlink_flash_update_(begin|end|timeout|status)_notify functions.

It is expected that drivers do not send any status notifications unless
they send a begin and end message. If a driver sends a status
notification without sending the appropriate end notification upon
finishing (regardless of success or failure), the current implementation
of the devlink userspace program can get stuck endlessly waiting for the
end notification that will never come.

The current ice driver implementation may send such a status message
without the appropriate end notification in rare cases.

Fixing the ice driver is relatively simple: we just need to send the
begin_notify at the start of the function and always send an end_notify
no matter how the function exits.

Rather than assuming driver authors will always get this right in the
future, lets just fix the API so that it is not possible to get wrong.
Make devlink_flash_update_begin_notify and
devlink_flash_update_end_notify static, and call them in devlink.c core
code. Always send the begin_notify just before calling the driver's
flash_update routine. Always send the end_notify just after the routine
returns regardless of success or failure.

Doing this makes the status notification easier to use from the driver,
as it no longer needs to worry about catching failures and cleaning up
by calling devlink_flash_update_end_notify. It is now no longer possible
to do the wrong thing in this regard. We also save a couple of lines of
code in each driver.

8fa84742d6 netdevsim: Add dummy implementation for nexthop offload
Implement dummy nexthop "offload" in the driver by storing currently
"programmed" nexthops in a hash table. Each nexthop in the hash table is
marked with "trap" indication and increments the nexthops resource
occupancy.

This will later allow us to test the nexthop offload API on top of
netdevsim.

35266255d6 netdevsim: Add devlink resource for nexthops
The Spectrum ASIC has a dedicated table where nexthops (i.e., adjacency
entries) are populated. The size of this table can be controlled via
devlink-resource.

Add such a resource to netdevsim so that its occupancy will reflect the
number of nexthop objects currently programmed to the device.

By limiting the size of the resource, error paths could be exercised and
tested.

dc64cc7c63 devlink: Add devlink reload limit option
Add reload limit to demand restrictions on reload actions.
Reload limits supported:
no_reset: No reset allowed, no down time allowed, no link flap and no
          configuration is lost.

By default reload limit is unspecified and so no constraints on reload
actions are required.

Some combinations of action and limit are invalid. For example, driver
can not reinitialize its entities without any downtime.

The no_reset reload limit will have usecase in this patchset to
implement restricted fw_activate on mlx5.

Have the uapi parameter of reload limit ready for future support of
multiselection.

ccdf07219d devlink: Add reload action option to devlink reload command
Add devlink reload action to allow the user to request a specific reload
action. The action parameter is optional, if not specified then devlink
driver re-init action is used (backward compatible).
Note that when required to do firmware activation some drivers may need
to reload the driver. On the other hand some drivers may need to reset
the firmware to reinitialize the driver entities. Therefore, the devlink
reload command returns the actions which were actually performed.
Reload actions supported are:
driver_reinit: driver entities re-initialization, applying devlink-param
               and devlink-resource values.
fw_activate: firmware activate.

command examples:
$devlink dev reload pci/0000:82:00.0 action driver_reinit

such errors don't escape the checks in the test script add a
warning/kernel spat.

cbb58368fb netdevsim: add support for flash_update overwrite mask
The devlink interface recently gained support for a new "overwrite mask"
parameter that allows specifying how various sub-sections of a flash
component are modified when updating.

Add support for this to netdevsim, to enable easily testing the
interface. Make the allowed overwrite mask values controllable via
a debugfs parameter. This enables testing a flow where the driver
rejects an unsupportable overwrite mask.

bc75c054f0 devlink: convert flash_update to use params structure
The devlink core recently gained support for checking whether the driver
supports a flash_update parameter, via `supported_flash_update_params`.
However, parameters are specified as function arguments. Adding a new
parameter still requires modifying the signature of the .flash_update
callback in all drivers.

Convert the .flash_update function to take a new `struct
devlink_flash_update_params` instead. By using this structure, and the
`supported_flash_update_params` bit field, a new parameter to
flash_update can be added without requiring modification to existing
drivers.

As before, all parameters except file_name will require driver opt-in.
Because file_name is a necessary field to for the flash_update to make
sense, no "SUPPORTED" bitflag is provided and it is always considered
valid. All future additional parameters will require a new bit in the
supported_flash_update_params bitfield.

22ec3d232f devlink: check flash_update parameter support in net core
When implementing .flash_update, drivers which do not support
per-component update are manually checking the component parameter to
verify that it is NULL. Without this check, the driver might accept an
update request with a component specified even though it will not honor
such a request.

Instead of having each driver check this, move the logic into
net/core/devlink.c, and use a new `supported_flash_update_params` field
in the devlink_ops. Drivers which will support per-component update must
now specify this by setting DEVLINK_SUPPORT_FLASH_UPDATE_COMPONENT in
the supported_flash_update_params in their devlink_ops.

This helps ensure that drivers do not forget to check for a NULL
component if they do not support per-component update. This also enables
a slightly better error message by enabling the core stack to set the
netlink bad attribute message to indicate precisely the unsupported
attribute in the message.

Going forward, any new additional parameter to flash update will require
a bit in the supported_flash_update_params bitfield.

Now that BPF program/link management is centralized in generic net_device
code, kernel code never queries program id from drivers, so
XDP_QUERY_PROG/XDP_QUERY_PROG_HW commands are unnecessary.

This patch removes all the implementations of those commands in kernel, along
the xdp_attachment_query().

This patch was compile-tested on allyesconfig.

The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky.

The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling
into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it.

At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected
sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3
which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the
rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately.

This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers.

While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong
in foo.c files.

The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping
modifications.

Register two control traps with devlink. The existing selftest at

be43224fc0 netdevsim: Ensure policer drop counter always increases
In case the policer drop counter is retrieved when the jiffies value is
a multiple of 64, the counter will not be incremented.

This randomly breaks a selftest [1] the reads the counter twice and
checks that it was incremented:

f9f54392d2 devlink: Add packet trap group parameters support
Packet trap groups are used to aggregate logically related packet traps.
Currently, these groups allow user space to batch operations such as
setting the trap action of all member traps.

In order to prevent the CPU from being overwhelmed by too many trapped
packets, it is desirable to bind a packet trap policer to these groups.
For example, to limit all the packets that encountered an exception
during routing to 10Kpps.

Allow device drivers to bind default packet trap policers to packet trap
groups when the latter are registered with devlink.

The next patch will enable user space to change this default binding.

When health reporter is registered to devlink, devlink will implicitly set
auto recover if and only if the reporter has a recover method. No reason
to explicitly get the auto recover flag from the driver.

Remove this flag from all drivers that called
devlink_health_reporter_create.

All existing health reporters set auto recovery to true if they have a
recover method.

Yet, administrator can unset auto recover via netlink command as prior to
this patch.

12102436ac devlink: track snapshot id usage count using an xarray
Each snapshot created for a devlink region must have an id. These ids
are supposed to be unique per "event" that caused the snapshot to be
created. Drivers call devlink_region_snapshot_id_get to obtain a new id
to use for a new event trigger. The id values are tracked per devlink,
so that the same id number can be used if a triggering event creates
multiple snapshots on different regions.

There is no mechanism for snapshot ids to ever be reused. Introduce an
xarray to store the count of how many snapshots are using a given id,
replacing the snapshot_id field previously used for picking the next id.

The devlink_region_snapshot_id_get() function will use xa_alloc to
insert an initial value of 1 value at an available slot between 0 and
U32_MAX.

The new __devlink_snapshot_id_increment() and
__devlink_snapshot_id_decrement() functions will be used to track how
many snapshots currently use an id.

Drivers must now call devlink_snapshot_id_put() in order to release
their reference of the snapshot id after adding region snapshots.

By tracking the total number of snapshots using a given id, it is
possible for the decrement() function to erase the id from the xarray
when it is not in use.

With this method, a snapshot id can become reused again once all
snapshots that referred to it have been deleted via
DEVLINK_CMD_REGION_DEL, and the driver has finished adding snapshots.

This work also paves the way to introduce a mechanism for userspace to
request a snapshot.

7ef19d3b1d devlink: report error once U32_MAX snapshot ids have been used
The devlink_snapshot_id_get() function returns a snapshot id. The
snapshot id is a u32, so there is no way to indicate an error code.

A future change is going to possibly add additional cases where this
function could fail. Refactor the function to return the snapshot id in
an argument, so that it can return zero or an error value.

This ensures that snapshot ids cannot be confused with error values, and
aids in the future refactor of snapshot id allocation management.

Because there is no current way to release previously used snapshot ids,
add a simple check ensuring that an error is reported in case the
snapshot_id would over flow.

a0a09f6bb2 devlink: convert snapshot destructor callback to region op

different destructors. Simplify snapshot creation by adding
a .destructor op for regions.

This operation will replace the data_destructor for the snapshot

e893768179 devlink: prepare to support region operations
Modify the devlink region code in preparation for adding new operations
on regions.

Create a devlink_region_ops structure, and move the name pointer from
within the devlink_region structure into the ops structure (similar to
the devlink_health_reporter_ops).

This prepares the regions to enable support of additional operations in
the future such as requesting snapshots, or accessing the region
directly without a snapshot.

In order to re-use the constant strings in the mlx4 driver their
declaration must be changed to 'const char * const' to ensure the
compiler realizes that both the data and the pointer cannot change.

107f167894 devlink: Only pass packet trap group identifier in trap structure
Packet trap groups are now explicitly registered by drivers and not
implicitly registered when the packet traps are registered. Therefore,
there is no need to encode entire group structure the trap is associated
with inside the trap structure.

Instead, only pass the group identifier. Refer to it as initial group
identifier, as future patches will allow user space to move traps
between groups.

8526ad9646 netdevsim: fix panic in nsim_dev_take_snapshot_write()
nsim_dev_take_snapshot_write() uses nsim_dev and nsim_dev->dummy_region.
So, during this function, these data shouldn't be removed.
But there is no protecting stuff in this function.

There are two similar cases.
1. reload case
reload could be called during nsim_dev_take_snapshot_write().
When reload is being executed, nsim_dev_reload_down() is called and it
calls nsim_dev_reload_destroy(). nsim_dev_reload_destroy() calls
devlink_region_destroy() to destroy nsim_dev->dummy_region.
So, during nsim_dev_take_snapshot_write(), nsim_dev->dummy_region()
would be removed.
At this point, snapshot_write() would access freed pointer.
In order to fix this case, take_snapshot file will be removed before
devlink_region_destroy().
The take_snapshot file will be re-created by ->reload_up().

2. del_device_store case
del_device_store() also could call nsim_dev_reload_destroy()
during nsim_dev_take_snapshot_write(). If so, panic would occur.
This problem is actually the same problem with the first case.
So, this problem will be fixed by the first case's solution.

6ab63366e1 netdevsim: disable devlink reload when resources are being used
devlink reload destroys resources and allocates resources again.
So, when devices and ports resources are being used, devlink reload
function should not be executed. In order to avoid this race, a new
lock is added and new_port() and del_port() call devlink_reload_disable()
and devlink_reload_enable().

f5cd21605e netdevsim: fix using uninitialized resources
When module is being initialized, __init() calls bus_register() and
driver_register().
These functions internally create various resources and sysfs files.
The sysfs files are used for basic operations(add/del device).
/sys/bus/netdevsim/new_device
/sys/bus/netdevsim/del_device

These sysfs files use netdevsim resources, they are mostly allocated
and initialized in ->probe() function, which is nsim_dev_probe().
But, sysfs files could be executed before ->probe() is finished.
So, accessing uninitialized data would occur.

Another problem is very similar.
/sys/bus/netdevsim/new_device internally creates sysfs files.
/sys/devices/netdevsim<id>/new_port
/sys/devices/netdevsim<id>/del_port

These sysfs files also use netdevsim resources, they are mostly allocated
and initialized in creating device routine, which is nsim_bus_dev_new().
But they also could be executed before nsim_bus_dev_new() is finished.
So, accessing uninitialized data would occur.

To fix these problems, this patch adds flags, which means whether the
operation is finished or not.
The flag variable 'nsim_bus_enable' means whether netdevsim bus was
initialized or not.
This is protected by nsim_bus_dev_list_lock.
The flag variable 'nsim_bus_dev->init' means whether nsim_bus_dev was
initialized or not.
This could be used in {new/del}_port_store() with no lock.

48bb9eb47b netdevsim: fib: Add dummy implementation for FIB offload
Implement dummy IPv4 and IPv6 FIB "offload" in the driver by storing
currently "programmed" routes in a hash table. Each route in the hash
table is marked with "trap" indication. The indication is cleared when
the route is replaced or when the netdevsim instance is deleted.

This will later allow us to test the route offload API on top of
netdevsim.

a0c76345e3 devlink: disallow reload operation during device cleanup
There is a race between driver code that does setup/cleanup of device
and devlink reload operation that in some drivers works with the same
code. Use after free could we easily obtained by running:

Fix this by enabling reload only after setup of device is complete and
disabling it at the beginning of the cleanup process.

bfcccfe78b netdevsim: drop code duplicated by a merge
Looks like the port adding loop makes a re-appearance on net-next
after net was merged back into it (even though it doesn't feature
in the merge diff).

The ports are already added in nsim_dev_create() so when we try
to add them again get EEXIST, and see:

netdevsim: probe of netdevsim0 failed with error -17

in the logs. When we remove the loop again the nsim_dev_probe()
and nsim_dev_remove() become a wrapper of nsim_dev_create() and
nsim_dev_destroy(). Remove this layer of indirection.

6d6f0383b6 netdevsim: Fix use-after-free during device dismantle
Commit da58f90f11 ("netdevsim: Add devlink-trap support") added
delayed work to netdevsim that periodically iterates over the registered
netdevsim ports and reports various packet traps via devlink.

While the delayed work takes the 'port_list_lock' mutex to protect
against concurrent addition / deletion of ports, during device creation
/ dismantle ports are added / deleted without this lock, which can
result in a use-after-free [1].

Fix this by making sure that the ports list is always modified under the
lock.

Currently all users of FIB notifier only cares about events in init_net.
Later in this patchset, users get interested in other namespaces too.
However, for every registered block user is interested only about one

a5facc4cac netdevsim: change fib accounting and limitations to be per-device
Currently, the accounting is done per-namespace. However, devlink
instance is always in init_net namespace for now, so only the accounting
related to init_net is used. Limitations set using devlink resources
are only considered for init_net. nsim_devlink_net() always
returns init_net always.

Make the accounting per-device. This brings no functional change.
Per-device accounting has the same values as per-net.
For a single netdevsim instance, the behaviour is exactly the same
as before. When multiple netdevsim instances are created, each
can have different limits.

This is in prepare to implement proper devlink netns support. After
that, the devlink instance which would exist in particular netns would
account and limit that netns.

The driver periodically generates "trapped" UDP packets that it then
passes on to devlink. Set the offsets to the various protocol layers.

This is a prerequisite to the next patch, where drop monitor is taught

da58f90f11 netdevsim: Add devlink-trap support
Have netdevsim register its trap groups and traps with devlink during
initialization and periodically report trapped packets to devlink core.

Since netdevsim is not a real device, the trapped packets are emulated
using a workqueue that periodically reports a UDP packet with a random
5-tuple from each active packet trap and from each running netdev.

4e95bc268b net: flow_offload: add flow_block_cb_setup_simple()
Most drivers do the same thing to set up the flow block callbacks, this
patch adds a helper function to do this.

This preparation patch reduces the number of changes to adapt the
existing drivers to use the flow block callback API.

This new helper function takes a flow block list per-driver, which is
set to NULL until this driver list is used.

This patch also introduces the flow_block_command and
flow_block_binder_type enumerations, which are renamed to use
FLOW_BLOCK_* in follow up patches.

There are three definitions (aliases) in order to reduce the number of
updates in this patch, which go away once drivers are fully adapted to
use this flow block API.

a60f9e48b7 netdevsim: rename dev_init/exit() functions and make them independent on ns
These functions are going to be called from bus probe/release(),
therefore make them independent on ns struct and rename accordingly.

f9d9db47d3 netdevsim: add bus attributes to add new and delete devices
Add a way to add new netdevsim device on netdevsim bus and also to
delete existing netdevsim device from the bus. Track the bus devices
in using a list.
