When running with concurrent task only one CIS was being assigned so
this attempts to rework the way the PDU is constructed so it is handled
later at the callback instead of in place.

When sending HCI_OP_CREATE_CONN_CANCEL it shall Wait for
HCI_EV_CONN_COMPLETE, not HCI_EV_CMD_STATUS, when the reason is
anything but HCI_ERROR_REMOTE_POWER_OFF. This reason is used when
suspending or powering off, where we don't want to wait for the peer's
response.

Dropped CIS that are in state BT_OPEN/BT_BOUND, and in state BT_CONNECT
with HCI_CONN_CREATE_CIS unset, should be cleaned up immediately.
Closing CIS ISO sockets should result to the hci_conn be deleted, so
that potentially pending CIG removal can run.
hci_abort_conn cannot refer to them by handle, since their handle is
still unset if Set CIG Parameters has not yet completed.
This fixes CIS not being terminated if the socket is shut down
immediately after connection, so that the hci_abort_conn runs before Set
CIG Parameters completes. See new BlueZ test "ISO Connect Close - Success"

Calling hci_conn_del in __iso_sock_close is invalid. It needs
hdev->lock, but it cannot be acquired there due to lock ordering.
Fix this by doing cleanup via hci_conn_drop.
Return hci_conn with refcount 1 from hci_bind_cis and hci_connect_cis,
so that the iso_conn always holds one reference. This also fixes
refcounting when error handling.
Since hci_conn_abort shall handle termination of connections in any
state properly, we can handle BT_CONNECT socket state in the same way as
BT_CONNECTED.

This adds support for BT_PKT_STATUS socketopt by setting
BT_SK_PKT_STATUS. Then upon receiving an ISO packet the code would
attempt to store the Packet_Status_Flag to hci_skb_pkt_status which
is then forward to userspace in the form of BT_SCM_PKT_STATUS whenever
BT_PKT_STATUS has been enabled/set.

The hci_add_adv_monitor() hci_remove_adv_monitor() functions call
bt_dev_dbg() to print some debug statements. The bt_dev_dbg() macro
automatically adds in the device's name. That means that we shouldn't
include the name in the bt_dev_dbg() calls.

Some use cases require the user to be informed if BIG synchronization
fails. This commit makes it so that even if the BIG sync established
event arrives with error status, a new hconn is added for each BIS,
and the iso layer is notified about the failed connections.
Unsuccesful bis connections will be marked using the
HCI_CONN_BIG_SYNC_FAILED flag. From the iso layer, the POLLERR event
is triggered on the newly allocated bis sockets, before adding them
to the accept list of the parent socket.
From user space, a new fd for each failed bis connection will be
obtained by calling accept. The user should check for the POLLERR
event on the new socket, to determine if the connection was successful
or not.
The HCI_CONN_BIG_SYNC flag has been added to mark whether the BIG sync
has been successfully established. This flag is checked at bis cleanup,
so the HCI LE BIG Terminate Sync command is only issued if needed.
The BT_SK_BIG_SYNC flag indicates if BIG create sync has been called
for a listening socket, to avoid issuing the command everytime a BIGInfo
advertising report is received.

This attempts to always allocate a unique handle for connections so they
can be properly aborted by the likes of hci_abort_conn, so this uses the
invalid range as a pool of unset handles that way if userspace is trying
to create multiple connections at once each will be given a unique
handle which will be considered unset.

ISO_LINK connections where not being handled properly on
hci_abort_conn_sync which sometimes resulted in sending the wrong
commands, or in case of having the reject command being sent by the
socket code (iso.c) which is sort of a layer violation.

This consolidates code for aborting connections using
hci_cmd_sync_queue so it is synchronized with other threads, but
because of the fact that some commands may block the cmd_sync_queue
while waiting specific events this attempt to cancel those requests by
using hci_cmd_sync_cancel.

This adds support for creating multiple BIGs. According to
spec, each BIG shall have an unique handle, and each BIG should
be associated with a different advertising handle. Otherwise,
the LE Create BIG command will fail, with error code
Command Disallowed (for reusing a BIG handle), or
Unknown Advertising Identifier (for reusing an advertising
handle).
The btmon snippet below shows an exercise for creating two BIGs

LE Create CIS command shall not be sent before all CIS Established
events from its previous invocation have been processed. Currently it is
sent via hci_sync but that only waits for the first event, but there can
be multiple.
Make it wait for all events, and simplify the CIS creation as follows:
Add new flag HCI_CONN_CREATE_CIS, which is set if Create CIS has been
sent for the connection but it is not yet completed.
Make BT_CONNECT state to mean the connection wants Create CIS.
On events after which new Create CIS may need to be sent, send it if
possible and some connections need it. These events are:
hci_connect_cis, iso_connect_cfm, hci_cs_le_create_cis,
hci_le_cis_estabilished_evt.
The Create CIS status/completion events shall queue new Create CIS only
if at least one of the connections transitions away from BT_CONNECT, so
that we don't loop if controller is sending bogus events.
This fixes sending multiple CIS Create for the same CIS in the
"ISO AC 6(i) - Success" BlueZ test case:

It is required for some configurations to have multiple BISes as part
of the same BIG.
Similar to the flow implemented for unicast, DEFER_SETUP will also be
used to bind multiple BISes for the same BIG, before starting Periodic
Advertising and creating the BIG.
The user will have to open a new socket for each BIS. By setting the
BT_DEFER_SETUP socket option and calling connect, a new connection
will be added for the BIG and advertising handle set by the socket
QoS parameters. Since all BISes will be bound for the same BIG and
advertising handle, the socket QoS options and base parameters should
match for all connections.
By calling connect on a socket that does not have the BT_DEFER_SETUP
option set, periodic advertising will be started and the BIG will
be created, with a BIS for each previously bound connection. Since
a BIG cannot be reconfigured with additional BISes after creation,
no more connections can be bound for the BIG after the start periodic
advertising and create BIG commands have been queued.
The bis_cleanup function has also been updated, so that the advertising
set and the BIG will not be terminated unless there are no more
bound or connected BISes.
The HCI_CONN_BIG_CREATED connection flag has been added to indicate
that the BIG has been successfully created. This flag is checked at
bis_cleanup, so that the BIG is only terminated if the
HCI_LE_Create_BIG_Complete has been received.
This implementation has been tested on hardware, using the "isotest"
tool with an additional command line option, to specify the number of
BISes to create as part of the desired BIG:

Operations that check/update sk_state and access conn should hold
lock_sock, otherwise they can race.
The order of taking locks is hci_dev_lock > lock_sock > sco_conn_lock,
which is how it is in connect/disconnect_cfm -> sco_conn_del ->
sco_chan_del.
Fix locking in sco_connect to take lock_sock around updating sk_state
and conn.
sco_conn_del must not occur during sco_connect, as it frees the
sco_conn. Hold hdev->lock longer to prevent that.
sco_conn_add shall return sco_conn with valid hcon. Make it so also when
reusing an old SCO connection waiting for disconnect timeout (see
__sco_sock_close where conn->hcon is set to NULL).
This should not reintroduce the issue fixed in the earlier
commit 9a8ec9e8eb ("Bluetooth: SCO: Fix possible circular locking
dependency on sco_connect_cfm"), the relevant fix of releasing lock_sock
in sco_sock_connect before acquiring hdev->lock is retained.
These changes mirror similar fixes earlier in ISO sockets.

hci_connect_sco currently returns NULL when there is no link (i.e. when
hci_conn_link() returns NULL).
sco_connect() expects an ERR_PTR in case of any error (see line 266 in
sco.c). Thus, hcon set as NULL passes through to sco_conn_add(), which
tries to get hcon->hdev, resulting in dereferencing a NULL pointer as
reported by syzkaller.
The same issue exists for iso_connect_cis() calling hci_connect_cis().
Thus, make hci_connect_sco() and hci_connect_cis() return ERR_PTR
instead of NULL.

KASAN reports that there's a use-after-free in
hci_remove_adv_monitor(). Trawling through the disassembly, you can
see that the complaint is from the access in bt_dev_dbg() under the
HCI_ADV_MONITOR_EXT_MSFT case. The problem case happens because
msft_remove_monitor() can end up freeing the monitor
structure. Specifically:

Let's fix the problem by just stashing the relevant data when it's

sk->sk_state indicates whether iso_pi(sk)->conn is valid. Operations
that check/update sk_state and access conn should hold lock_sock,
otherwise they can race.
The order of taking locks is hci_dev_lock > lock_sock > iso_conn_lock,
which is how it is in connect/disconnect_cfm -> iso_conn_del ->
iso_chan_del.
Fix locking in iso_connect_cis/bis and sendmsg/recvmsg to take lock_sock
around updating sk_state and conn.
iso_conn_del must not occur during iso_connect_cis/bis, as it frees the
iso_conn. Hold hdev->lock longer to prevent that.
This should not reintroduce the issue fixed in commit 241f51931c
("Bluetooth: ISO: Avoid circular locking dependency"), since the we
acquire locks in order. We retain the fix in iso_sock_connect to release
lock_sock before iso_connect_* acquires hdev->lock.
Similarly for commit 6a5ad251b7 ("Bluetooth: ISO: Fix possible
circular locking dependency"). We retain the fix in iso_conn_ready to
not acquire iso_conn_lock before lock_sock.
iso_conn_add shall return iso_conn with valid hcon. Make it so also when
reusing an old CIS connection waiting for disconnect timeout (see
__iso_sock_close where conn->hcon is set to NULL).

hci_update_accept_list_sync iterates over hdev->pend_le_conns and
hdev->pend_le_reports, and waits for controller events in the loop body,
without holding hdev lock.
Meanwhile, these lists and the items may be modified e.g. by
le_scan_cleanup. This can invalidate the list cursor or any other item
in the list, resulting to invalid behavior (eg use-after-free).
Use RCU for the hci_conn_params action lists. Since the loop bodies in
hci_sync block and we cannot use RCU or hdev->lock for the whole loop,
copy list items first and then iterate on the copy. Only the flags field
is written from elsewhere, so READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE should guarantee we
read valid values.
Free params everywhere with hci_conn_params_free so the cleanup is
guaranteed to be done properly.
This fixes the following, which can be triggered e.g. by BlueZ new
mgmt-tester case "Add + Remove Device Nowait - Success", or by changing
hci_le_set_cig_params to always return false, and running iso-tester:

Now that the driver core allows for struct class to be in read-only
memory, move the bt_class structure to be declared at build time
placing it into read-only memory, instead of having to be dynamically
allocated at load time.

This rework sync_interval to be sync_factor as having sync_interval in
the order of seconds is sometimes not disarable.
Wit sync_factor the application can tell how many SDU intervals it wants

When receiving a scan response there is no way to know if the remote
device is connectable or not, so when it cannot be merged don't
make any assumption and instead just mark it with a new flag defined as
MGMT_DEV_FOUND_SCAN_RSP so userspace can tell it is a standalone
SCAN_RSP.

When reconfiguring CIG after disconnection of the last CIS, LE Remove
CIG shall be sent before LE Set CIG Parameters. Otherwise, it fails
because CIG is in the inactive state and not configurable (Core v5.3
Vol 6 Part B Sec. 4.5.14.3). This ordering is currently wrong under
suitable timing conditions, because LE Remove CIG is sent via the
hci_sync queue and may be delayed, but Set CIG Parameters is via
hci_send_cmd.
Make the ordering well-defined by sending also Set CIG Parameters via
hci_sync.

Devices that lack persistent storage for the device address can indicate
this by setting the HCI_QUIRK_INVALID_BDADDR which causes the controller
to be marked as unconfigured until user space has set a valid address.
The related HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY was later added to similarly
indicate that the device lacks a valid address but that one may be
specified in the devicetree.
As is clear from commit 7a0e5b15ca ("Bluetooth: Add quirk for reading
BD_ADDR from fwnode property") that added and documented this quirk and
commits like de79a9df16 ("Bluetooth: btqcomsmd: use
HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY"), the device address of controllers with
this flag should be treated as invalid until user space has had a chance
to configure the controller in case the devicetree property is missing.
As it does not make sense to allow controllers with invalid addresses,
restore the original semantics, which also makes sure that the
implementation is consistent (e.g. get_missing_options() indicates that
the address must be set) and matches the documentation (including
comments in the code, such as, "In case any of them is set, the
controller has to start up as unconfigured.").

When receiving a connect response we should make sure that the DCID is
within the valid range and that we don't already have another channel
allocated for the same DCID.
Missing checks may violate the specification (BLUETOOTH CORE SPECIFICATION
Version 5.4 | Vol 3, Part A, Page 1046).

The order of CIS handle array in Set CIG Parameters response shall match
the order of the CIS_ID array in the command (Core v5.3 Vol 4 Part E Sec
7.8.97). We send CIS_IDs mainly in the order of increasing CIS_ID (but
with "last" CIS first if it has fixed CIG_ID). In handling of the
reply, we currently assume this is also the same as the order of
hci_conn in hdev->conn_hash, but that is not true.
Match the correct hci_conn to the correct handle by matching them based
on the CIG+CIS combination. The CIG+CIS combination shall be unique for
ISO_LINK hci_conn at state >= BT_BOUND, which we maintain in
hci_le_set_cig_params.

Consider existing BOUND & CONNECT state CIS to block CIG removal.
Otherwise, under suitable timing conditions we may attempt to remove CIG
while Create CIS is pending, which fails.

L2CAP assumes that the locks conn->chan_lock and chan->lock are
acquired in the order conn->chan_lock, chan->lock to avoid
potential deadlock.
For example, l2sock_shutdown acquires these locks in the order:
mutex_lock(&conn->chan_lock)
l2cap_chan_lock(chan)
However, l2cap_disconnect_req acquires chan->lock in
l2cap_get_chan_by_scid first and then acquires conn->chan_lock
before calling l2cap_chan_del. This means that these locks are
acquired in unexpected order, which leads to potential deadlock:
l2cap_chan_lock(c)
mutex_lock(&conn->chan_lock)
This patch releases chan->lock before acquiring the conn_chan_lock
to avoid the potential deadlock.

Since commit ec6cef9cd9 ("Bluetooth: Fix SMP channel registration for
unconfigured controllers") the debugfs interface for unconfigured
controllers will be created when the controller is configured.
There is however currently nothing preventing a controller from being
configured multiple time (e.g. setting the device address using btmgmt)
which results in failed attempts to register the already registered
debugfs entries:

Make CIG auto-allocation to select the first CIG_ID that is still
configurable. Also use correct CIG_ID range (see Core v5.3 Vol 4 Part E
Sec 7.8.97 p.2553).
Previously, it would always select CIG_ID 0 regardless of anything,
because cis_list with data.cis == 0xff (BT_ISO_QOS_CIS_UNSET) would not
count any CIS. Since we are not adding CIS here, use find_cis instead.

Currently, hci_conn_del calls hci_conn_unlink for BR/EDR, (e)SCO, and
CIS connections, i.e., everything except LE connections. However, if
(e)SCO connections are unlinked when BR/EDR disconnects, CIS connections
should also be unlinked when LE disconnects.
In terms of disconnection behavior, CIS and (e)SCO connections are not
too different. One peculiarity of CIS is that when CIS connections are
disconnected, the CIS handle isn't deleted, as per [BLUETOOTH CORE
SPECIFICATION Version 5.4 | Vol 4, Part E] 7.1.6 Disconnect command:
All SCO, eSCO, and CIS connections on a physical link should be
disconnected before the ACL connection on the same physical
connection is disconnected. If it does not, they will be
implicitly disconnected as part of the ACL disconnection.

Note: As specified in Section 7.7.5, on the Central, the handle
for a CIS remains valid even after disconnection and, therefore,
the Host can recreate a disconnected CIS at a later point in
time using the same connection handle.
Since hci_conn_link invokes both hci_conn_get and hci_conn_hold,
hci_conn_unlink should perform both hci_conn_put and hci_conn_drop as
well. However, currently it performs only hci_conn_put.
This patch makes hci_conn_unlink call hci_conn_drop as well, which
simplifies the logic in hci_conn_del a bit and may benefit future users
of hci_conn_unlink. But it is noted that this change additionally
implies that hci_conn_unlink can queue disc_work on conn itself, with
the following call stack:
hci_conn_unlink(conn) [conn->parent == NULL]
-> hci_conn_unlink(child) [child->parent == conn]
-> hci_conn_drop(child->parent)
-> queue_delayed_work(&conn->disc_work)
Queued disc_work after hci_conn_del can be spurious, so during the
process of hci_conn_del, it is necessary to make the call to
cancel_delayed_work(&conn->disc_work) after invoking hci_conn_unlink.

Commit 06149746e7 ("Bluetooth: hci_conn: Add support for linking
multiple hcon") reintroduced a previously fixed bug [1] ("KASAN:
slab-use-after-free Read in hci_conn_hash_flush"). This bug was
originally fixed by commit 5dc7d23e16 ("Bluetooth: hci_conn: Fix
possible UAF").
The hci_conn_unlink function was added to avoid invalidating the link
traversal caused by successive hci_conn_del operations releasing extra
connections. However, currently hci_conn_unlink itself also releases
extra connections, resulted in the reintroduced bug.
This patch follows a more robust solution for cleaning up all
connections, by repeatedly removing the first connection until there are
none left. This approach does not rely on the inner workings of
hci_conn_del and ensures proper cleanup of all connections.
Meanwhile, we need to make sure that hci_conn_del never fails. Indeed it
doesn't, as it now always returns zero. To make this a bit clearer, this
patch also changes its return type to void.

If hci_conn_put(conn->parent) reduces conn->parent's reference count to
zero, it can immediately deallocate conn->parent. At the same time,
conn->link->list has its head in conn->parent, causing use-after-free
problems in the latter list_del_rcu(&conn->link->list).
This problem can be easily solved by reordering the two operations,
i.e., first performing the list removal with list_del_rcu and then
decreasing the refcnt with hci_conn_put.

Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.4-rc1.
Once again, a busy development cycle, with lots of changes happening in
the driver core in the quest to be able to move "struct bus" and "struct
class" into read-only memory, a task now complete with these changes.
This will make the future rust interactions with the driver core more
"provably correct" as well as providing more obvious lifetime rules for
all busses and classes in the kernel.
The changes required for this did touch many individual classes and
busses as many callbacks were changed to take const * parameters
instead. All of these changes have been submitted to the various
subsystem maintainers, giving them plenty of time to review, and most of
them actually did so.
Other than those changes, included in here are a small set of other
things:
- kobject logging improvements
- cacheinfo improvements and updates
- obligatory fw_devlink updates and fixes
- documentation updates
- device property cleanups and const * changes
- firwmare loader dependency fixes.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
problems.

This makes sure hci_cmd_sync_queue only queue new work if HCI_RUNNING
has been set otherwise there is a risk of commands being sent while
turning off.
Because hci_cmd_sync_queue can no longer queue work while HCI_RUNNING is
not set it cannot be used to power on adapters so instead
hci_cmd_sync_submit is introduced which bypass the HCI_RUNNING check, so
it behaves like the old implementation.

Some of the sync commands might take a long time to complete, e.g.
LE Create Connection when the peer device isn't responding might take
20 seconds before it times out. If suspend command is issued during
this time, it will need to wait for completion since both commands are
using the same sync lock.
This patch cancel any running sync commands before attempting to
suspend or adapter power off.

API hci_devcd_init() stores its u32 type parameter @dump_size into

Previously, capability was checked using capable(), which verified that the
caller of the ioctl system call had the required capability. In addition,
the result of the check would be stored in the HCI_SOCK_TRUSTED flag,
making it persistent for the socket.
However, malicious programs can abuse this approach by deliberately sharing
an HCI socket with a privileged task. The HCI socket will be marked as
trusted when the privileged task occasionally makes an ioctl call.
This problem can be solved by using sk_capable() to check capability, which
ensures that not only the current task but also the socket opener has the
specified capability, thus reducing the risk of privilege escalation
through the previously identified vulnerability.

Previously, channel open messages were always sent to monitors on the first
ioctl() call for unbound HCI sockets, even if the command and arguments
were completely invalid. This can leave an exploitable hole with the abuse
of invalid ioctl calls.
This commit hardens the ioctl processing logic by first checking if the
command is valid, and immediately returning with an ENOIOCTLCMD error code
if it is not. This ensures that ioctl calls with invalid commands are free
of side effects, and increases the difficulty of further exploitation by
forcing exploitation to find a way to pass a valid command first.

The ATS2851 based controller advertises support for command "LE Set Random
Private Address Timeout" but does not actually implement it, impeding the
controller initialization.

When submitting HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CIS the code shall wait for
HCI_EVT_LE_CIS_ESTABLISHED thus enforcing the serialization of
HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CIS as the Core spec does not allow to send them in
parallel:

Add devcoredump APIs to hci core so that drivers only have to provide
the dump skbs instead of managing the synchronization and timeouts.
The devcoredump APIs should be used in the following manner:
- hci_devcoredump_init is called to allocate the dump.
- hci_devcoredump_append is called to append any skbs with dump data
OR hci_devcoredump_append_pattern is called to insert a pattern.
- hci_devcoredump_complete is called when all dump packets have been
sent OR hci_devcoredump_abort is called to indicate an error and
cancel an ongoing dump collection.
The high level APIs just prepare some skbs with the appropriate data and
queue it for the dump to process. Packets part of the crashdump can be
intercepted in the driver in interrupt context and forwarded directly to
the devcoredump APIs.
Internally, there are 5 states for the dump: idle, active, complete,
abort and timeout. A devcoredump will only be in active state after it
has been initialized. Once active, it accepts data to be appended,
patterns to be inserted (i.e. memset) and a completion event or an abort
event to generate a devcoredump. The timeout is initialized at the same
time the dump is initialized (defaulting to 10s) and will be cleared
either when the timeout occurs or the dump is complete or aborted.

Some adapters (e.g. RTL8723CS) advertise that they have more than
2 pages for local ext features, but they don't support any features
declared in these pages. RTL8723CS reports max_page = 2 and declares
support for sync train and secure connection, but it responds with
either garbage or with error in status on corresponding commands.

Currently, when we initiate disconnection, we will wait for the peer's
reply unless when we are suspending, where we fire and forget the
disconnect request.
A similar case is when adapter is powering off. However, we still wait
for the peer's reply in this case. Therefore, if the peer is
unresponsive, the command will time out and the power off sequence
will fail, causing "bluetooth powered on by itself" to users.
This patch makes the host doesn't wait for the peer's reply when the
disconnection reason is powering off.

There is a potential race condition in hidp_session_thread that may
lead to use-after-free. For instance, the timer is active while
hidp_del_timer is called in hidp_session_thread(). After hidp_session_put,
then 'session' will be freed, causing kernel panic when hidp_idle_timeout
is running.
The solution is to use del_timer_sync instead of del_timer.

hci_connect_le_scan_cleanup shall always be invoked to cleanup the
states and re-enable passive scanning if necessary, otherwise it may
cause the pending action to stay active causing multiple attempts to
connect.

The MGMT command: MGMT_OP_ADD_ADV_PATTERNS_MONITOR_RSSI uses variable
length argument. This causes host not able to register advmon with rssi.
This patch has been locally tested by adding monitor with rssi via
btmgmt on a kernel 6.1 machine.

The Bluetooth mesh experimental feature enable was requiring the
controller to be powered off in order for the Enable to work. Mesh is
supposed to be enablable regardless of the controller state, and created
an unintended requirement that the mesh daemon be started before the
classic bluetoothd daemon.

There is a potential race condition in hci_cmd_sync_work and
hci_cmd_sync_clear, and could lead to use-after-free. For instance,
hci_cmd_sync_work is added to the 'req_workqueue' after cancel_work_sync
The entry of 'cmd_sync_work_list' may be freed in hci_cmd_sync_clear, and
causing kernel panic when it is used in 'hci_cmd_sync_work'.

Use correct HCI ISO data packet header struct when the packet has
timestamp. The timestamp, when present, goes before the other fields
(Core v5.3 4E 5.4.5), so the structs are not compatible.
