Currently, the maximum supported physical address space can be
configured as either 48 bits or 52 bits. The only remaining difference
between these in practice is that the former omits the masking and
shifting required to construct TTBR and PTE values, which carry bits #48
and higher disjoint from the rest of the physical address.
The overhead of performing these additional calculations is negligible,
and so there is little reason to retain support for two different
configurations, and we can simply support whatever the hardware
supports.

Hook up the generic vDSO implementation to the aarch64 vDSO data page.
The _vdso_rng_data required data is placed within the _vdso_data vvar
page, by using a offset larger than the vdso_data.
The vDSO function requires a ChaCha20 implementation that does not write
to the stack, and that can do an entire ChaCha20 permutation. The one
provided uses NEON on the permute operation, with a fallback to the
syscall for chips that do not support AdvSIMD.
This also passes the vdso_test_chacha test along with
vdso_test_getrandom. The vdso_test_getrandom bench-single result on
Neoverse-N1 shows:
vdso: 25000000 times in 0.783884250 seconds
libc: 25000000 times in 8.780275399 seconds
syscall: 25000000 times in 8.786581518 seconds
A small fixup to arch/arm64/include/asm/mman.h was required to avoid
pulling kernel code into the vDSO, similar to what's already done in
arch/arm64/include/asm/rwonce.h.

When clone3() was introduced, it was not obvious how each architecture
deals with setting up the stack and keeping the register contents in
a fork()-like system call, so this was left for the architecture
maintainers to implement, with __ARCH_WANT_SYS_CLONE3 defined by those
that already implement it.
Five years later, we still have a few architectures left that are missing
clone3(), and the macro keeps getting in the way as it's fundamentally
different from all the other __ARCH_WANT_SYS_* macros that are meant
to provide backwards-compatibility with applications using older
syscalls that are no longer provided by default.
Address this by reversing the polarity of the macro, adding an
__ARCH_BROKEN_SYS_CLONE3 macro to all architectures that don't
already provide the syscall, and remove __ARCH_WANT_SYS_CLONE3
from all the other ones.

tldr; Just FYI, I'm carrying this on the perf tools tree.
Full explanation:
There used to be no copies, with tools/ code using kernel headers
directly. From time to time tools/perf/ broke due to legitimate kernel
hacking. At some point Linus complained about such direct usage. Then we
adopted the current model.
The way these headers are used in perf are not restricted to just
including them to compile something.
There are sometimes used in scripts that convert defines into string
tables, etc, so some change may break one of these scripts, or new MSRs
may use some different #define pattern, etc.
E.g.:
$ ls -1 tools/perf/trace/beauty/*.sh | head -5
tools/perf/trace/beauty/arch_errno_names.sh
tools/perf/trace/beauty/drm_ioctl.sh
tools/perf/trace/beauty/fadvise.sh
tools/perf/trace/beauty/fsconfig.sh
tools/perf/trace/beauty/fsmount.sh
$
$ tools/perf/trace/beauty/fadvise.sh
static const char *fadvise_advices[] = {
[0] = "NORMAL",
[1] = "RANDOM",
[2] = "SEQUENTIAL",
[3] = "WILLNEED",
[4] = "DONTNEED",
[5] = "NOREUSE",
};
$
The tools/perf/check-headers.sh script, part of the tools/ build
process, points out changes in the original files.
So its important not to touch the copies in tools/ when doing changes in
the original kernel headers, that will be done later, when
check-headers.sh inform about the change to the perf tools hackers.

It would appear that this only affects builds from the top-level
Makefile (e.g. make kselftest-all), as $(srctree) is set to ".". Work
around the issue by shadowing the kselftest naming scheme for the source
tree variable.

Use a common Makefile for generating sysreg-defs.h, which will soon be
needed by perf and KVM selftests. The naming scheme of the generated
macros is not expected to change, so just refer to the canonical
script/data in the kernel source rather than copying to tools.

Pull asm-generic regression fix from Arnd Bergmann:

asm-generic: partially revert "Unify uapi bitsperlong.h for arm64, riscv and loongarch"
Unifying the asm-generic headers across 32-bit and 64-bit architectures
based on the compiler provided macros was a good idea and appears to work
with all user space, but it caused a regression when building old kernels
on systems that have the new headers installed in /usr/include, as this
combination trips an inconsistency in the kernel's own tools/include
headers that are a mix of userspace and kernel-internal headers.
This affects kernel builds on arm64, riscv64 and loongarch64 systems that
might end up using the "#define __BITS_PER_LONG 32" default from the old
tools headers. Backporting the commit into stable kernels would address
this, but it would still break building kernels without that backport,
and waste time for developers trying to understand the problem.
arm64 build machines are rather common, and on riscv64 this can also
happen in practice, but loongarch64 is probably new enough to not
be used much for building old kernels, so only revert the bits
for arm64 and riscv.

Now we specify the minimal version of GCC as 5.1 and Clang/LLVM as 11.0.0
in Documentation/process/changes.rst, __CHAR_BIT__ and __SIZEOF_LONG__ are
usable, it is probably fine to unify the definition of __BITS_PER_LONG as
(__CHAR_BIT__ * __SIZEOF_LONG__) in asm-generic uapi bitsperlong.h.
In order to keep safe and avoid regression, only unify uapi bitsperlong.h
for some archs such as arm64, riscv and loongarch which are using newer
toolchains that have the definitions of __CHAR_BIT__ and __SIZEOF_LONG__.

32.2.4
Event Trace is a capability that exposes details about the asynchronous
events, when they are generated, and when their corresponding software
event handler completes execution. These include:
o Interrupts, including NMI and SMI, including the interrupt vector when
defined.
o Faults, exceptions including the fault vector.
— Page faults additionally include the page fault address, when in context.
o Event handler returns, including IRET and RSM.
o VM exits and VM entries.¹
— VM exits include the values written to the “exit reason” and “exit qualification” VMCS fields.
INIT and SIPI events.
o TSX aborts, including the abort status returned for the RTM instructions.
o Shutdown.
Additionally, it provides indication of the status of the Interrupt Flag
(IF), to indicate when interrupts are masked.

When KVM creates an event and there are more than one PMUs present on the
system, perf_init_event() will go through the list of available PMUs and
will choose the first one that can create the event. The order of the PMUs
in this list depends on the probe order, which can change under various
circumstances, for example if the order of the PMU nodes change in the DTB
or if asynchronous driver probing is enabled on the kernel command line
(with the driver_async_probe=armv8-pmu option).
Another consequence of this approach is that on heteregeneous systems all
virtual machines that KVM creates will use the same PMU. This might cause
unexpected behaviour for userspace: when a VCPU is executing on the
physical CPU that uses this default PMU, PMU events in the guest work
correctly; but when the same VCPU executes on another CPU, PMU events in
the guest will suddenly stop counting.
Fortunately, perf core allows user to specify on which PMU to create an
event by using the perf_event_attr->type field, which is used by
perf_init_event() as an index in the radix tree of available PMUs.
Add the KVM_ARM_VCPU_PMU_V3_CTRL(KVM_ARM_VCPU_PMU_V3_SET_PMU) VCPU
attribute to allow userspace to specify the arm_pmu that KVM will use when
creating events for that VCPU. KVM will make no attempt to run the VCPU on
the physical CPUs that share the PMU, leaving it up to userspace to manage
the VCPU threads' affinity accordingly.
To ensure that KVM doesn't expose an asymmetric system to the guest, the
PMU set for one VCPU will be used by all other VCPUs. Once a VCPU has run,
the PMU cannot be changed in order to avoid changing the list of available
events for a VCPU, or to change the semantics of existing events.

To pick the changes from:
f0376edb1d ("KVM: arm64: Add ioctl to fetch/store tags in a guest")
That don't causes any changes in tooling (when built on x86), only
addresses this perf build warning:

Some should cause changes in tooling, like the one adding LAST_EXCP, but
the way it is structured end up not making that happen.
The new SVM_EXIT_INVPCID should get used by arch/x86/util/kvm-stat.c,
in the svm_exit_reasons table.
The tools/perf/trace/beauty part has scripts to catch changes and
automagically create tables, like tools/perf/trace/beauty/kvm_ioctl.sh,
but changes are needed to make tools/perf/arch/x86/util/kvm-stat.c catch
those automatically.
These were handled by the existing scripts:
$ tools/perf/trace/beauty/kvm_ioctl.sh > before
$ cp include/uapi/linux/kvm.h tools/include/uapi/linux/kvm.h
