b8c7dd15ce kernel-wide: fix spelling mistakes like "assocative" -> "associative"
There were several instances of the string "assocat" in the kernel, which
should have been spelled "associat", with the various endings of -ive,
-ed, -ion, and sometimes beginnging with dis-.

Add to the spelling dictionary the corrections so that future instances
will be caught by checkpatch, and fix the instances found.

Originally noticed by accident with a 'git grep socat'.

be81389c82 Staging driver changes for 6.10-rc1
Here is the big set of staging driver changes for 6.10-rc1. Not a lot
of cleanups happening this kernel release, intern applications must be
out of sync at the moment. But we did delete two drivers, wlan-ng and
pi433, as they are no longer in use and the developers involved wanted
them just gone entirely, allowing us to drop 19k lines from the tree.

Other than the normal coding style cleanups here, there has been a lot
of work on the vc04_services code, with the intent to finally get that
out of staging hopefully soon. It's getting closer, which is nice to
 see.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

b1992c3772 kbuild: use $(src) instead of $(srctree)/$(src) for source directory
Kbuild conventionally uses $(obj)/ for generated files, and $(src)/ for
checked-in source files. It is merely a convention without any functional
difference. In fact, $(obj) and $(src) are exactly the same, as defined
in scripts/Makefile.build:

    src := $(obj)

When the kernel is built in a separate output directory, $(src) does
not accurately reflect the source directory location. While Kbuild
resolves this discrepancy by specifying VPATH=$(srctree) to search for
source files, it does not cover all cases. For example, when adding a
header search path for local headers, -I$(srctree)/$(src) is typically
passed to the compiler.

This introduces inconsistency between upstream and downstream Makefiles
because $(src) is used instead of $(srctree)/$(src) for the latter.

To address this inconsistency, this commit changes the semantics of
$(src) so that it always points to the directory in the source tree.

Going forward, the variables used in Makefiles will have the following
meanings:

$(obj) - directory in the object tree
$(src) - directory in the source tree (changed by this commit)
$(objtree) - the top of the kernel object tree
$(srctree) - the top of the kernel source tree

Consequently, $(srctree)/$(src) in upstream Makefiles need to be replaced
with $(src).

c3a8f7dfc7 staging: rtl8723bs: convert strncpy to strscpy
gcc-9 complains about a possibly unterminated string in the strncpy() destination:

In function 'rtw_cfg80211_add_monitor_if',
    inlined from 'cfg80211_rtw_add_virtual_intf' at drivers/staging/rtl8723bs/os_dep/ioctl_cfg80211.c:2209:9:
drivers/staging/rtl8723bs/os_dep/ioctl_cfg80211.c:2146:2: error: 'strncpy' specified bound 16 equals destination size [-Werror=stringop-truncation]
 2146 |  strncpy(mon_ndev->name, name, IFNAMSIZ);
      | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This one is a false-positive because of the explicit termination in the following
line, and recent versions of clang and gcc no longer warn about this.

Interestingly, the other strncpy() in this file is missing a termination but
does not produce a warning, possibly because of the type confusion and the
cast between u8 and char.

Change both strncpy() instances to strscpy(), which avoids the warning as well
as the possibly missing termination. No additional padding is needed here.

58dc02750f staging: rtl8723bs: Use kcalloc() instead of kzalloc()
As noted in the "Deprecated Interfaces, Language Features, Attributes,
and Conventions" documentation [1], size calculations (especially
multiplication) should not be performed in memory allocator (or similar)
function arguments due to the risk of them overflowing. This could lead
to values wrapping around and a smaller allocation being made than the
caller was expecting. Using those allocations could lead to linear
overflows of heap memory and other misbehaviors.

So, use the purpose specific kcalloc() function instead of the argument
count * size in the kzalloc() function.

Also, it is preferred to use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type)
due to the type of the variable can change and one needs not change the
former (unlike the latter).

4c7a0c95ad Staging driver updates for 6.7-rc1
Here is the big set of staging driver updates for 6.7-rc1. A bit bigger
than 6.6 this time around, as it coincided with the Outreachy and
mentorship application process, so we got a bunch of new developers
sending in their first changes, which is nice to see.

Also in here is a removal of the qlge ethernet driver, and the rtl8192u
wireless driver. Both of these were very old and no one was maintaining
them, the wireless driver removal was due to no one using it anymore,
and no hardware to be found, and is part of a larger effort to remove
unused and old wifi drivers from the system.

The qlge ethernet driver did have one user pop up after it was dropped,
and we are working with the network mainainers to figure out what tree
it will come back in from and who will be responsible for it, and if it
really is being used or not. Odds are it will show up in a network
subsystem pull request after -rc1 is out, but we aren't sure yet.

Other smaller changes in here are:
   - Lots of vc04_services work by Umang to clean up the mess created by
the rpi developers long ago, bringing it almost into good enough
shape to get out of staging, hopefully next major release, it's
     getting close.
   - rtl8192e variable cleanups and removal of unused code and structures
   - vme_user coding style cleanups
   - other small coding style cleanups to lots of the staging drivers
   - octeon typedef removals, and then last-minute revert when it was
found to break the build in some configurations (it's a hard driver
to build properly, none of the normal automated testing catches it.)

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

a1fb841f9d wireless-next patches for v6.7
The first pull request for v6.7, with both stack and driver changes.
We have a big change how locking is handled in cfg80211 and mac80211
which removes several locks and hopefully simplifies the locking
overall. In drivers rtw89 got MCC support and smaller features to
other active drivers but nothing out of ordinary.

This pull request got delayed because we were waiting for the wireless
tree pull requested processed first and after that we merged wireless
into wireless-next to avoid several conflicts in the stack.

When pulling this there's one conflict in drivers/staging/rtl8723bs/os_dep/ioctl_cfg80211.c:
