b57fdc838c svcrpc: fix double-free on shutdown of nfsd after changing pool mode
commit 61c8504c42 upstream.

The pool_to and to_pool fields of the global svc_pool_map are freed on
shutdown, but are initialized in nfsd startup only in the
SVC_POOL_PERCPU and SVC_POOL_PERNODE cases.

They *are* initialized to zero on kernel startup.  So as long as you use
only SVC_POOL_GLOBAL (the default), this will never be a problem.

You're also OK if you only ever use SVC_POOL_PERCPU or SVC_POOL_PERNODE.

However, the following sequence events leads to a double-free:

	1. set SVC_POOL_PERCPU or SVC_POOL_PERNODE
	2. start nfsd: both fields are initialized.
	3. shutdown nfsd: both fields are freed.
	4. set SVC_POOL_GLOBAL
	5. start nfsd: the fields are left untouched.
	6. shutdown nfsd: now we try to free them again.

Step 4 is actually unnecessary, since (for some bizarre reason), nfsd
automatically resets the pool mode to SVC_POOL_GLOBAL on shutdown.

Ben Pfaff reported a kernel oops and provided a test program to
reproduce it.

tc_fill_qdisc() should not be called for builtin qdisc, or it
dereference a NULL pointer to get device ifindex.

Fix is to always use tc_qdisc_dump_ignore() before calling
tc_fill_qdisc().

2da16873a8 Bluetooth: Prevent buffer overflow in l2cap config request

A remote user can provide a small value for the command size field in
the command header of an l2cap configuration request, resulting in an
integer underflow when subtracting the size of the configuration request
header.  This results in copying a very large amount of data via
memcpy() and destroying the kernel heap.  Check for underflow.

6c5a7be322 NLM: Don't hang forever on NLM unlock requests
commit 0b760113a3 upstream.

If the NLM daemon is killed on the NFS server, we can currently end up
hanging forever on an 'unlock' request, instead of aborting. Basically,
if the rpcbind request fails, or the server keeps returning garbage, we
really want to quit instead of retrying.

c21fda2a53 svcrpc: fix list-corrupting race on nfsd shutdown
commit ebc63e531c upstream.

After commit 3262c816a3 "[PATCH] knfsd:
split svc_serv into pools", svc_delete_xprt (then svc_delete_socket) no
longer removed its xpt_ready (then sk_ready) field from whatever list it
was on, noting that there was no point since the whole list was about to
be destroyed anyway.

That was mostly true, but forgot that a few svc_xprt_enqueue()'s might
still be hanging around playing with the about-to-be-destroyed list, and
could get themselves into trouble writing to freed memory if we left
this xprt on the list after freeing it.

(This is actually functionally identical to a patch made first by Ben
Greear, but with more comments.)

579c002085 SUNRPC: Fix use of static variable in rpcb_getport_async
commit ec0dd267bf upstream.

Because struct rpcbind_args *map was declared static, if two
threads entered this method at the same time, the values
assigned to map could be sent two two differen tasks.
This could cause all sorts of problems, include use-after-free
and double-free of memory.

Fix this by removing the static declaration so that the map
pointer is on the stack.

The bug was that unix domain sockets use a pseduo packet for
connecting and accept uses that psudo packet to get the socket.
In the buggy seqpacket case we were allowing unconnected
sockets to call recvmsg and try to receive the pseudo packet.

That is always wrong and as of commit 7361c36c5 the pseudo
packet had become enough different from a normal packet
that the kernel started oopsing.

Do for seqpacket_recv what was done for seqpacket_send in 2.5
and only allow it on connected seqpacket sockets.

36493e838f net: Fix oops from tcp_collapse() when using splice()
commit baff42ab14 upstream.

tcp_read_sock() can have a eat skbs without immediately advancing copied_seq.
This can cause a panic in tcp_collapse() if it is called as a result
of the recv_actor dropping the socket lock.

A userspace program that splices data from a socket to either another
socket or to a file can trigger this bug.

8ece1d6711 CAN: Use inode instead of kernel address for /proc file

Since the socket address is just being used as a unique identifier, its
inode number is an alternative that does not leak potentially sensitive
information.

621eff477d irda: prevent integer underflow in IRLMP_ENUMDEVICES
commit fdac1e0697 upstream.

If the user-provided len is less than the expected offset, the
IRLMP_ENUMDEVICES getsockopt will do a copy_to_user() with a very large
size value.  While this isn't be a security issue on x86 because it will
get caught by the access_ok() check, it may leak large amounts of kernel
heap on other architectures.  In any event, this patch fixes it.

3b8cc900cd inet_diag: Make sure we actually run the same bytecode we audited.

We were using nlmsg_find_attr() to look up the bytecode by attribute when
auditing, but then just using the first attribute when actually running
bytecode. So, if we received a message with two attribute elements, where only
the second had type INET_DIAG_REQ_BYTECODE, we would validate and run different
bytecode strings.

Fix this by consistently using nlmsg_find_attr everywhere.

packet_getname_spkt() doesn't initialize all members of sa_data field of
sockaddr struct if strlen(dev->name) < 13.  This structure is then copied
to userland.  It leads to leaking of contents of kernel stack memory.
We have to fully fill sa_data with strncpy() instead of strlcpy().

The same with packet_getname(): it doesn't initialize sll_pkttype field of
sockaddr_ll.  Set it to zero.

a4a135545d sctp: fix to calc the INIT/INIT-ACK chunk length correctly is set

When calculating the INIT/INIT-ACK chunk length, we should not
only account the length of parameters, but also the parameters
zero padding length, such as AUTH HMACS parameter and CHUNKS
parameter. Without the parameters zero padding length we may get

5ec5648c0a econet: 4 byte infoleak to the network
commit 67c5c6cb81 upstream.

struct aunhdr has 4 padding bytes between 'pad' and 'handle' fields on
x86_64.  These bytes are not initialized in the variable 'ah' before
sending 'ah' to the network.  This leads to 4 bytes kernel stack
infoleak.

This bug was introduced before the git epoch.

6b7d31fc (v2.6.15-rc1).  To trigger the bug one should have
CAP_NET_ADMIN.

'buffer' string is copied from userspace.  It is not checked whether it is
zero terminated.  This may lead to overflow inside of simple_strtoul().
Changli Gao suggested to copy not more than user supplied 'size' bytes.

It was introduced before the git epoch.  Files "ipt_CLUSTERIP/*" are
root writable only by default, however, on some setups permissions might be
relaxed to e.g. network admin user.

The first and the third bugs were introduced before the git epoch; the
second was introduced in 2722971c (v2.6.17-rc1).  To trigger the bug
one should have CAP_NET_ADMIN.

When parsing the FAC_NATIONAL_DIGIS facilities field, it's possible for
a remote host to provide more digipeaters than expected, resulting in
heap corruption.  Check against ROSE_MAX_DIGIS to prevent overflows, and
abort facilities parsing on failure.

Additionally, when parsing the FAC_CCITT_DEST_NSAP and
FAC_CCITT_SRC_NSAP facilities fields, a remote host can provide a length
of less than 10, resulting in an underflow in a memcpy size, causing a
kernel panic due to massive heap corruption.  A length of greater than
20 results in a stack overflow of the callsign array.  Abort facilities
parsing on these invalid length values.

hostapd uses it for kicking out inactive clients after a while. Without this

a0d7e098d1 tcp: Increase TCP_MAXSEG socket option minimum.

As noted by Steve Chen, since commit
f5fff5dc8a ("tcp: advertise MSS
requested by user") we can end up with a situation where
tcp_select_initial_window() does a divide by a zero (or
even negative) mss value.

The problem is that sometimes we effectively subtract
TCPOLEN_TSTAMP_ALIGNED and/or TCPOLEN_MD5SIG_ALIGNED from the mss.

Fix this by increasing the minimum from 8 to 64.

x25 does not decrement the network device reference counts on module unload.
Thus unregistering any pre-existing interface after unloading the x25 module
hangs and results in

 unregister_netdevice: waiting for tap0 to become free. Usage count = 1

This patch decrements the reference counts of all interfaces in x25_link_free,
the way it is already done in x25_link_device_down for NETDEV_DOWN events.

2bab3333d8 filter: make sure filters dont read uninitialized memory

There is a possibility malicious users can get limited information about
uninitialized stack mem array. Even if sk_run_filter() result is bound
to packet length (0 .. 65535), we could imagine this can be used by
hostile user.

Initializing mem[] array, like Dan Rosenberg suggested in his patch is
expensive since most filters dont even use this array.

Its hard to make the filter validation in sk_chk_filter(), because of
the jumps. This might be done later.

In this patch, I use a bitmap (a single long var) so that only filters
using mem[] loads/stores pay the price of added security checks.

For other filters, additional cost is a single instruction.

[ Since we access fentry->k a lot now, cache it in a local variable
  and mark filter entry pointer as const. -DaveM ]

aadbd20969 sctp: Fix out-of-bounds reading in sctp_asoc_get_hmac()

The sctp_asoc_get_hmac() function iterates through a peer's hmac_ids
array and attempts to ensure that only a supported hmac entry is
returned.  The current code fails to do this properly - if the last id
in the array is out of range (greater than SCTP_AUTH_HMAC_ID_MAX), the
id integer remains set after exiting the loop, and the address of an
out-of-bounds entry will be returned and subsequently used in the parent
function, causing potentially ugly memory corruption.  This patch resets
the id integer to 0 on encountering an invalid id so that NULL will be
returned after finishing the loop if no valid ids are found.

346ecec0eb sunrpc: prevent use-after-free on clearing XPT_BUSY

When an xprt is created, it has a refcount of 1, and XPT_BUSY is set.
The refcount is *not* owned by the thread that created the xprt
(as is clear from the fact that creators never put the reference).
Rather, it is owned by the absence of XPT_DEAD.  Once XPT_DEAD is set,
(And XPT_BUSY is clear) that initial reference is dropped and the xprt
can be freed.

So when a creator clears XPT_BUSY it is dropping its only reference and
so must not touch the xprt again.

However svc_recv, after calling ->xpo_accept (and so getting an XPT_BUSY
reference on a new xprt), calls svc_xprt_recieved.  This clears
XPT_BUSY and then svc_xprt_enqueue - this last without owning a reference.
This is dangerous and has been seen to leave svc_xprt_enqueue working
with an xprt containing garbage.

So we need to hold an extra counted reference over that call to
svc_xprt_received.

For safety, any time we clear XPT_BUSY and then use the xprt again, we
first get a reference, and the put it again afterwards.

Note that svc_close_all does not need this extra protection as there are
no threads running, and the final free can only be called asynchronously
from such a thread.

This was because the sctp_wait_for_connect() would aqcure the socket
lock and then proceed to release the last reference count on the
association, thus cause the fully destruction path to finish freeing
the socket.

The simplest solution is to start a very short timer in case the socket
is owned by user.  When the timer expires, we can do some verification
and be able to do the release properly.
