a4a135545d sctp: fix to calc the INIT/INIT-ACK chunk length correctly is set
commit a8170c35e7 upstream.

When calculating the INIT/INIT-ACK chunk length, we should not
only account the length of parameters, but also the parameters
zero padding length, such as AUTH HMACS parameter and CHUNKS
parameter. Without the parameters zero padding length we may get
following oops.

53a868e5b6 sctp: Fix oops when sending queued ASCONF chunks

When we finish processing ASCONF_ACK chunk, we try to send
the next queued ASCONF.  This action runs the sctp state
machine recursively and it's not prepared to do so.

aadbd20969 sctp: Fix out-of-bounds reading in sctp_asoc_get_hmac()
commit 51e97a12be upstream.

The sctp_asoc_get_hmac() function iterates through a peer's hmac_ids
array and attempts to ensure that only a supported hmac entry is
returned.  The current code fails to do this properly - if the last id
in the array is out of range (greater than SCTP_AUTH_HMAC_ID_MAX), the
id integer remains set after exiting the loop, and the address of an
out-of-bounds entry will be returned and subsequently used in the parent
function, causing potentially ugly memory corruption.  This patch resets
the id integer to 0 on encountering an invalid id so that NULL will be
returned after finishing the loop if no valid ids are found.

4746f7abc3 sctp: Fix a race between ICMP protocol unreachable and connect()
commit 50b5d6ad63 upstream.

ICMP protocol unreachable handling completely disregarded
the fact that the user may have locked the socket.  It proceeded
to destroy the association, even though the user may have
held the lock and had a ref on the association.  This resulted
in the following:

This was because the sctp_wait_for_connect() would aqcure the socket
lock and then proceed to release the last reference count on the
association, thus cause the fully destruction path to finish freeing
the socket.

The simplest solution is to start a very short timer in case the socket
is owned by user.  When the timer expires, we can do some verification
and be able to do the release properly.

On a 16TB x86_64 machine, sysctl_tcp_mem[2], sysctl_udp_mem[2], and
sysctl_sctp_mem[2] can integer overflow.  Set limit such that they are
maximized without overflowing.

Its an skb_over_panic BUG halt that results from processing an init chunk in
which too many of its variable length parameters are in some way malformed.

The problem is in sctp_process_unk_param:

When we allocate an error chunk, we assume that the worst case scenario requires
that we have chunk_hdr->length data allocated, which would be correct nominally,
given that we call sctp_addto_chunk for the violating parameter.  Unfortunately,
we also, in sctp_init_cause insert a sctp_errhdr_t structure into the error
chunk, so the worst case situation in which all parameters are in violation
requires chunk_hdr->length+(sizeof(sctp_errhdr_t)*param_count) bytes of data.

The result of this error is that a deliberately malformed packet sent to a
listening host can cause a remote DOS, described in CVE-2010-1173:

I've tested the below fix and confirmed that it fixes the issue.  We move to a
strategy whereby we allocate a fixed size error chunk and ignore errors we don't
have space to report.  Tested by me successfully

c82532f167 sctp: Properly timestamp outgoing data chunks for rtx purposes

Recent changes to the retransmit code exposed a long standing
bug where it was possible for a chunk to be time stamped
after the retransmit timer was reset.  This caused a rare
situation where the retrnamist timer has expired, but
nothing was marked for retrnasmission because all of
timesamps on data were less then 1 rto ago.  As result,
the timer was never restarted since nothing was retransmitted,
and this resulted in a hung association that did couldn't
complete the data transfer.  The solution is to timestamp
the chunk when it's added to the packet for transmission
purposes.  After the packet is trsnmitted the rtx timer
is restarted.  This guarantees that when the timer expires,
there will be data to retransmit.

0eb599ae81 sctp: Correctly start rtx timer on new packet transmissions.

Commit 62aeaff5cc
(sctp: Start T3-RTX timer when fast retransmitting lowest TSN)
introduced a regression where it was possible to forcibly
restart the sctp retransmit timer at the transmission of any
new chunk.  This resulted in much longer timeout times and
sometimes hung sctp connections.

55ffc07a92 sctp: Fix another socket race during accept/peeloff
commit ae53b5bd77 upstream.

There is a race between sctp_rcv() and sctp_accept() where we
have moved the association from the listening socket to the
accepted socket, but sctp_rcv() processing cached the old
socket and continues to use it.

The easy solution is to check for the socket mismatch once we've
grabed the socket lock.  If we hit a mis-match, that means
that were are currently holding the lock on the listening socket,
but the association is refrencing a newly accepted socket.  We need
to drop the lock on the old socket and grab the lock on the new one.

A more proper solution might be to create accepted sockets when
the new association is established, similar to TCP.  That would
eliminate the race for 1-to-1 style sockets, but it would still
existing for 1-to-many sockets where a user wished to peeloff an
association.  For now, we'll live with this easy solution as
it addresses the problem.

82e1a122a1 sctp: Avoid memory overflow while FWD-TSN chunk is received with bad stream ID

If FWD-TSN chunk is received with bad stream ID, the sctp will not do the
validity check, this may cause memory overflow when overwrite the TSN of
the stream ID.

The FORWARD-TSN chunk is like this:

ba0166708e sctp: Fix kernel panic while process protocol violation parameter
Since call to function sctp_sf_abort_violation() need paramter 'arg' with
'struct sctp_chunk' type, it will read the chunk type and chunk length from
the chunk_hdr member of chunk. But call to sctp_sf_violation_paramlen()
always with 'struct sctp_paramhdr' type's parameter, it will be passed to
sctp_sf_abort_violation(). This may cause kernel panic.

        |-- sctp_make_abort_violation()

This patch fixed this problem. This patch also fix two place which called
sctp_sf_violation_paramlen() with wrong paramter type.

add52379dd sctp: Fix oops when INIT-ACK indicates that peer doesn't support AUTH
If INIT-ACK is received with SupportedExtensions parameter which
indicates that the peer does not support AUTH, the packet will be
silently ignore, and sctp_process_init() do cleanup all of the
transports in the association.
When T1-Init timer is expires, OOPS happen while we try to choose
a different init transport.

The solution is to only clean up the non-active transports, i.e
the ones that the peer added.  However, that introduces a problem
with sctp_connectx(), because we don't mark the proper state for
the transports provided by the user.  So, we'll simply mark
user-provided transports as ACTIVE.  That will allow INIT
retransmissions to work properly in the sctp_connectx() context
and prevent the crash.

0ef46e285c sctp: do not enable peer features if we can't do them.
Do not enable peer features like addip and auth, if they
are administratively disabled localy.  If the peer resports
that he supports something that we don't, neither end can
use it so enabling it is pointless.  This solves a problem
when talking to a peer that has auth and addip enabled while
we do not.  Found by Andrei Pelinescu-Onciul <andrei@iptel.org>.

Loopback used to clobber the ip_summed filed which sctp then used
to figure out if it needed to do checksumming or not.  Now that
loopback doesn't do that any more, sctp needs to set the ip_summed

328fc47ea0 sctp: correct bounds check in sctp_setsockopt_auth_key
The bonds check to prevent buffer overlflow was not exactly
right.  It still allowed overflow of up to 8 bytes which is
sizeof(struct sctp_authkey).

Since optlen is already checked against the size of that struct,
we are guaranteed not to cause interger overflow either.

5e739d1752 sctp: fix potential panics in the SCTP-AUTH API.
All of the SCTP-AUTH socket options could cause a panic
if the extension is disabled and the API is envoked.

Additionally, there were some additional assumptions that
certain pointers would always be valid which may not
always be the case.

This patch hardens the API and address all of the crash
scenarios.

f880374c2f sctp: Drop ipfargok in sctp_xmit function
The ipfragok flag controls whether the packet may be fragmented
either on the local host on beyond.  The latter is only valid on
IPv4.

In fact, we never want to do the latter even on IPv4 when PMTU is
enabled.  This is because even though we can't fragment packets
within SCTP due to the prtocol's inherent faults, we can still
fragment it at IP layer.  By setting the DF bit we will improve
the PMTU process.

RFC 2960 only says that we SHOULD clear the DF bit in this case,
so we're compliant even if we set the DF bit.  In fact RFC 4960
no longer has this statement.

Once we make this change, we only need to control the local
fragmentation.  There is already a bit in the skb which controls
that, local_df.  So this patch sets that instead of using the
ipfragok argument.

The only complication is that there isn't a struct sock object
per transport, so for IPv4 we have to resort to changing the
pmtudisc field for every packet.  This should be safe though
as the protocol is single-threaded.

Note that after this patch we can remove ipfragok from the rest
of the stack too.

Removes legacy reinvent-the-wheel type thing. The generic
machinery integrates much better to automated debugging aids
such as kerneloops.org (and others), and is unambiguous due to
better naming. Non-intuively BUG_TRAP() is actually equal to
WARN_ON() rather than BUG_ON() though some might actually be
promoted to BUG_ON() but I left that to future.

I could make at least one BUILD_BUG_ON conversion.

a677a039be flag parameters: socket and socketpair
This patch adds support for flag values which are ORed to the type passwd
to socket and socketpair.  The additional code is minimal.  The flag
values in this implementation can and must match the O_* flags.  This
avoids overhead in the conversion.

The internal functions sock_alloc_fd and sock_map_fd get a new parameters
and all callers are changed.

5c52ba170f sock: add net to prot->enter_memory_pressure callback

I decided to add a sk argument, not the net itself, only to factor

3888e9efc9 sctp: Mark the tsn as received after all allocations finish
If we don't have the buffer space or memory allocations fail,
the data chunk is dropped, but TSN is still reported as received.
This introduced a data loss that can't be recovered.  We should
only mark TSNs are received after memory allocations finish.
The one exception is the invalid stream identifier, but that's
due to user error and is reported back to the user.

This was noticed by Michael Tuexen.

2e3216cd54 sctp: Follow security requirement of responding with 1 packet
RFC 4960, Section 11.4. Protection of Non-SCTP-Capable Hosts

When an SCTP stack receives a packet containing multiple control or
DATA chunks and the processing of the packet requires the sending of
multiple chunks in response, the sender of the response chunk(s) MUST
NOT send more than one packet.  If bundling is supported, multiple
response chunks that fit into a single packet MAY be bundled together
into one single response packet.  If bundling is not supported, then
the sender MUST NOT send more than one response chunk and MUST
discard all other responses.  Note that this rule does NOT apply to a
SACK chunk, since a SACK chunk is, in itself, a response to DATA and
a SACK does not require a response of more DATA.

We implement this by not servicing our outqueue until we reach the end
of the packet.  This enables maximum bundling.  We also identify
'response' chunks and make sure that we only send 1 packet when sending
such chunks.

This patch add to validate initiate tag and chunk type if verification
tag is 0 when handling ICMP message.

RFC 4960, Appendix C. ICMP Handling

ICMP6) An implementation MUST validate that the Verification Tag
contained in the ICMP message matches the Verification Tag of the peer.
If the Verification Tag is not 0 and does NOT match, discard the ICMP
message.  If it is 0 and the ICMP message contains enough bytes to
verify that the chunk type is an INIT chunk and that the Initiate Tag
matches the tag of the peer, continue with ICMP7.  If the ICMP message
is too short or the chunk type or the Initiate Tag does not match,
silently discard the packet.

319fa2a24f sctp: Correclty set changeover_active for SFR-CACC
Right now, any time we set a primary transport we set
the changeover_active flag.  As a result, we invoke SFR-CACC
even when there has been no changeover events.

Only set changeover_active, when there is a true changeover
event, i.e. we had a primary path and we are changing to
another transport.
